Contraindications

Individuals taking blood thinning medications are warned not to use Balm of Gilead oil due to its salicylate components, a natural form of salicylic acid, a known blood thinner. 

Comfrey is used in several of the herbal formulas. Take care to not ingest as there have been cases of liver toxicity when taken internally. 

Never apply products containing Comfrey or Arnica to open wounds. They are so effective at tissue repair that wounds will close precipitously possibly trapping any debris or microorganisms which can lead to possible infection.

Warnings and precautions

It bears repeating:

Always use caution and do a skin patch test when trying our product for the first time. Herbs are natural but as with anything else natural, one may have sensitivities or allergies. 

Specific notes: If you are allergic to aspirin, do not use balm of Gilead as it contains the natural form of salicylate, the plant form of salicylic acid.

If you are allergic plants in the Asteraceae (daisy), be aware that chamomile is a similar plant and may cause a reaction.

Always use due diligence.
